Base One es un simulador de estación espacial con mecánicas de supervivencia y RPG.

Argumento
Supera toda una serie de pruebas en una campaña guiada por la historia que tiene como telón de fondo un drama sociopolítico en el que los intereses particulares y los poderosos tienen mucho que ganar en la última frontera. Equilibra las necesidades de cada estación mientras investigas y descubres nuevas tecnologías que garanticen el éxito y la viabilidad a largo plazo de la presencia humana en la región.
Equipa las estaciones con paneles solares, muelles de atraque, sistemas de soporte vital y mucho más. Domina dispositivos como los lanzadores de sondas para recoger objetos en el vacío del espacio, y mantén alta la moral de la tripulación con comodidades esenciales como sofás y la siempre útil ducha-retrete.

Even though the idea of a survival space base sim with RPG elements sounded very promising, Base One is filled with bugs and problematic design choices and lacks any spirit or invention beyond what was necessary. In a world where you can play RimWorld or Space Haven, there is literally no reason to invest your money nor time into this game.
Base One is a mostly solid game that never impresses. The story and writing are not a big part of the management genre but here they are so bland that they actively hurt the experience. Managing a space station is a chore when the narrative gives me no reason to look forward to new objectives and cool interactions. The game also feels limited by the fact that everything happens on one plane. A futuristic base will need to use space in complex ways and three dimensions to truly maximize efficiency and create a structure that can be easily defended or moved. Base One is too conservative in its take on the future, its approach to mechanics, and its story to create an experience that can keep gamers engaged with the campaign in the long term. The custom game mode offers ways to engage with all core mechanics in a variety of player-defined scenarios.
Base One is a good survival RPG game set in space. There’s a level of strategy involved when it comes to crew selection, tech research, and building out your station. It feels like some areas could use a bit more attention, particularly the voice acting and audio, but otherwise, the controls and the core game loop feel good.
