Resumen
Dramatical Murder está ambientado en un futuro cercano en la isla ficticia de Midorijima (碧島), Japón. En algún momento de la historia reciente del juego, la isla fue privatizada por el poderoso Toue Konzern (東江コンツェルン, Tōe Kontserun) y convertida en un complejo turístico llamado Cárcel de Platino (プラチナ・ジェイル, Purachina Jeiru), y los residentes originales de la isla se ven obligados a vivir en el Antiguo Distrito Residencial (旧住民区, Kyū-Jūmin-ku). El protagonista, Aoba Seragaki, vive en la isla y trabaja en una tienda llamada Junk Shop Mediocrity (平凡, Heibon), con la esperanza de llevar una vida sencilla. Sin embargo, tras ser arrastrada a la fuerza al popular ciberjuego Rhyme (ライム, Raimu), con su mundo virtual y su uso de Allmates (オールメイト, Ōru Meito), dispositivos móviles que suelen aparecer como si fueran las mascotas de sus dueños, y al oír rumores sobre desapariciones en las que están implicados Ribstiez (リブスティーズ, Ribusutīzu), guerras territoriales entre grupos, se acaba toda apariencia de vida tranquila para Aoba.

Years after I first played it, DRAMAtical Murder remains one of the most gorgeous visual novels, with striking character and set designs, dynamic art direction, and attention to even small details in the UI. The soundtrack, particularly the OP and ending songs, are incredibly catchy. I fall in love with the characters more every time I replay it, and even though the plot has some weak points, it’s still an intriguing exploration of themes of humanity, technology, and identity. Highly recommended for fans of boys’ love, of course, but I think many visual novel lovers would enjoy it.
