Beautiful satire that shows very well how a communist/socialist country really works out to be in the practice (that comes from an ArgentineBeautiful satire that shows very well how a communist/socialist country really works out to be in the practice (that comes from an Argentine whose country is plagued by socialism, which is basically the game but replacing the almighty leader with politicians in general). The protagonist is pretty charming and the plot itself is incredibly well put-together so that if you pay attention you can see what's going on from an early stage of the game.The only flaw I see is duration, I would've liked to have experienced more of this game's awesomeness

The main problem with the game is that nothing is spectacular, expect maybe the design of the art and the outline of the story. The puzzles are either extremely easy or uninteresting (and a couple are kinda nonsensical if the in-game help system isn't used), the characters are usually boring and banal with their dialogues and monologue being often extremely predictable and the details of the story not that great, for the most part at least.In general, all in all, the game is "just ok", nothing is totally terrible, nothing is totally great (expect maybe the aesthetics of the art and the big picture of the story) but for the most part it's mediocre for what a great adventure really needs: great story details, great characters, great puzzles, a captivating story.Would I recommend. MAYBE to die-hard adventure game fans but it's definitely not a great game to introduce someone else to point and click games.

Although it’s a bit disappointing that the writers missed an opportunity to turn this light comedy into a satirical study of a person’s fate in a totalitarian state where cult of personality reigns over all.

Irony Curtain: From Matryoshka with Love could easily have been a leftover turkey that wasn’t tasty even the first time it was roasted, but it sticks its landing right through to the very last scene. Despite being an indie title, the game is crafted deceivingly professionally. That’s especially highlighted in the script that has been properly edited to sharpen its impact with only minimum slack. In these days of mostly grim entertainment, it was so liberating to laugh with the game and be constantly amused by its many wonderful twists and turns.
