Unfortunately for today, the game is short and the multiplayer servers have been shut down.Full disclosure: my son bought this game for $10 using my account. He was not old enough to buy his own games and loved Transformers. The game was technically not free for me, because I pay my son his allowance. Also, I played this on PS5 and enjoyed the PS5's super fast load times.As shooter, this game is good, like Halo good. The bots transform into vehicle mode and drive about as good as any vehicle in a shooter. Several areas have long stretches for driving/flying, and because vehicles have weapons, you could drive/fly through most of the game if you wanted. Each bot gets their own unique ability and their own starter weapons. Abilities are fixed. Weapons can be upgraded throughout the game. Oddly, the laser guns from the TV show are saved for new game+. Instead you have some of the standard submachine gun, shotgun, assault rifle, sniper weapons mixed in with more unique weapons like an electric gun and a slime launcher. Smacking enemies is also an options. The game provides ample cover, a dodge ability, and recharging shields to round of the experience.The sights and sounds are fantastic, though I may be biased as on old school Transformers fan with a Transformers obsessed son. The soundtrack is simply amazing. So much effort into a game about toys. The transforming sounds and gun sounds are also top quality. The world is the shiny metal Cybertron of your dreams. This would be a great game to remaster with ray tracing. Character models are so good that Hasbro released them in toy form. (Or maybe its the other way around.) The world is alive with giant walking robots, transforming environments, and destructible elements. This is what games should be.Alas, it was not to last. Some time ago, the servers were shut down. If you are even able to buy this game, the product will be significantly hobbled. You will never fight through the horde mode with your friends. You will never fight against other players in multi-player matches. And the campaign is an all too brief 5 hours. In today's world, this is AA title. I have no issues with short games. Some of my favorite games ever are short games. Just don't expect to fill an entire weekend with Fall of Cybertron.'Til all are one!

Also, they for some reason removed being able to choose your character in levels. Instead they focused on using one character per level, which removes a lot of replayability. Also, the campaign is wildly short and there really is no incentive to replay levels. The first game was better.

Transformers: Fall of Cybertron oozes quality, in every aspect, easily surpassing its predecessor (which was a mediocre game in any case) and is definitely counted among the best third person shooters of the year.

A little flaw - it's difficult to find how to change controls (as the middle button of my mouse doesnt work in the game).

By its impressive setting, missions great variability and a perfect screenplay, dignity has been restored to the Transformers' game series. This is a great mound scrap iron performance that is going to make every Transformers fan happy.

Despite the lack of co-op Fall of Cybertron is a huge improvement on its predecessor, offering plenty of entertainment for the non-fan and out-and-out geekgasms for the Transformers acolyte.

Offers one of the best single player campaigns we've seen in years. Entertaining, different, intense, spectacular and with really memorable moments. It sticks to the original series, something fans will definitely love. It offers everything Transformers fans have always asked for. Its multiplayer modes won't be consider revolutionary, but it is a must-have, above all if you're a fan of the series.

It's exactly what meets the eye - which is to say a good-hearted festival of a game about talking robots shooting and smashing each other, shouting itself raw-throated in joy at the toys it gets to play with, but no more than that.

I am plagued with negative countdown timers (the matches never start) and a barebones community. WHEN I get into a match, it is some of the best multiplayer action I have experienced in a long time.Other features that are missing from this obvious console port are communications. There are no chat lobbies, dedicated servers, VOIP (voice chat), or any other means of communications at all. This game REQUIRES being able to speak to each other. Private matches are there, which is nice, but there is no real way to play ranked 5v5's or 4v4's with your friends (premade). In order to play with your friends you have to play against them. I don't like that. I like being able to play a game where I can rely on teammates and have strategy.One of the biggest things that bugs me is the general clunkiness of the menus. Everytime I have to duck a lobby, because it isn't launching, I have to communicate with Teletraan I or whatever. I'm sorry. This needs to be done at the end of a match. Even then, it should prevent you from doing anything. It should run in the background.TL;DR This game has some serious matchmaking issues. The story seems cool so far. I am requesting a refund from Steam because half of the game doesn't work. Hence 4/10.
